Welcome to Towne Place
Towne Place is a unique “talk of the town” original. Excell and its partners purchased 11 acres of land with a 1940’s “Gone with the Wind” colonial mansion in the center of the property. Rather than destroy this iconic piece of history, it was decided to divide the mansion in two sections, remodel and refurbish the entire building and sell as a 2 unit residence. The remaining portion of the project consists of 38 - 2 unit mansion-like residences complimenting the divided colonial mansion inside the gated boundaries of the old estate. In addition, 1 acre of light commercial fronts the main road. These unique residences sold quickly. Home plans ranged in size from 2254 sf to just over 3,000 sf and sold from the high $300’s to the mid $400’s. Towne Place is nearly sold out with only 5 residences left from the original 40 planned.
Stephen Gravett representing Exell Partners was responsible for the concept, mansion and residence designs, land planning and engineering, sales, marketing, association set-up, sale of the commercial lot, broker relations and financing.
The Town Place development team decided not to demolish the 1940 colonial mansion that had been a part of Hendersonville History for such a long time.
Instead the 8,000+ square foot icon was renovated sold as two separate units. It will remain into this century for years to come.
